Privacy Policy

This document is provided in multiple languages as a courtesy. In case of any discrepancy, the English version prevails.

Summary

WebView Studio is a mobile web browser built with privacy as a first-class concern. Your browsing activity — the pages you visit, the tabs you open, the history you build — stays on your device. We do not run ad networks, we do not sell data, and we do not profile your behavior.

This Privacy Policy explains the limited data we do handle when you sign in, subscribe, receive notifications, or report a crash, along with your rights regarding that data.

1. Scope and who we are

This policy applies to the WebView Studiomobile application (“the App”) and to this website at webviewstudio.betterlogic.io. The data controller is BetterLogic (FZE), located at Block C, VL13-023, Sharjah Research Technology & Innovation Park (SRTIP), Sharjah, UAE. You can reach us at contact@betterlogic.io.

2. Data that stays on your device

The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us unless you explicitly export or back it up yourself:

  • Browsing history and tabs — URLs, page titles, and tab state.
  • Saved apps and bookmarks — websites you have pinned for quick access.
  • Passwords and autofill data — stored encrypted in the device keychain / secure storage.
  • Downloads — files you download are saved to your device storage. We do not receive copies.
  • Custom scripts and site settings — JavaScript, CSS, and blocking preferences you configure per domain.
  • Cookies and site data — handled by the system WebView the same way any browser handles them, scoped to the sites you visit.

If you uninstall the App, this local data is removed with it.

3. Data we collect

3.1 Account data

The App can work without an account. If you choose to sign in, we use Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication. We receive the email address, display name, and profile photo URL that Google returns. We use this only to authenticate you and associate your account with entitlements such as a premium subscription.

3.2 Subscription and purchase data

If you purchase a premium subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple App Store (In-App Purchase) or the Google Play Billing Library. We do not receive your payment card details. We receive a purchase token or receipt, which we validate (directly or via a subscription-management provider such as RevenueCat, where applicable) to unlock features.

3.3 Diagnostic and crash data

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports. A crash report may include the device model, operating system version, App version, a stack trace, and a random installation identifier. It does not include your browsing history or personal content.

3.4 Configuration data

We use Firebase Remote Config to deliver feature flags and configuration values to the App. This is a one-way download; it does not send us information about you.

3.5 Push notification data

If you grant notification permission, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push messages. FCM provides us with a device token used solely to send you notifications. You can revoke this at any time in your device settings.

3.6 Support and email communications

If you email us at contact@betterlogic.io, we retain the email address, subject, and body for the purpose of responding and keeping a support record.

4. How we use the data

  • To authenticate you and enforce subscription entitlements.
  • To diagnose crashes and improve App stability.
  • To deliver feature updates via configuration.
  • To send the notifications you opt into.
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or cross-context behavioral tracking.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract — to provide the App, manage your account, and deliver purchased subscriptions.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate the service securely, diagnose crashes, and prevent abuse.
  • Consent — for push notifications and any optional analytics.
  • Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and law-enforcement requirements.

6. Third-party services

We share limited data with the following processors:

  • Google / Firebase (Google LLC)— Authentication, Firestore (if you sign in), Crashlytics, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging. Governed by Google's privacy terms.
  • Apple— In-App Purchases and receipt validation on iOS. Governed by Apple's terms.
  • Google Play— Billing and purchase tokens on Android. Governed by Google Play's terms.
  • RevenueCat, Inc. — Subscription management and entitlement tracking, where enabled in the App.

We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not share personal data with advertisers.

7. Device permissions we request

  • Notifications — to deliver reminders and alerts you opt into.
  • Biometric authentication — to unlock the password manager using Face ID, Touch ID, or Android biometrics. The biometric check happens locally on the device; we never receive biometric data.
  • Share intent — to accept URLs, text, or images shared to the App from other apps.
  • Storage — to save files you download.

8. Data retention

  • Account data — retained while your account exists. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion, subject to lawful retention periods.
  • Subscription records — retained for the duration required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years).
  • Crash logs — retained for up to 90 days by Crashlytics.
  • Support correspondence — retained for up to 24 months.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@betterlogic.io. You can also delete your account from within the App or via our account deletion page; we will delete associated server-side data within 30 days.

10. International transfers

Our processors (notably Google and Apple) operate globally and may process data in the United States, European Union, and other jurisdictions. Where personal data leaves your region, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards offered by those providers.

11. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS for data in transit, on-disk encryption for secrets stored by the App (via the device keychain / secure storage), and Firebase's managed infrastructure for server components. No system is perfectly secure, so you share information at your own risk and should use a strong password for your account.

12. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it. The App Store age rating for unrestricted web access targets 17+ regardless of our minimum of 13.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App and on this page, and the “Last updated” date will change accordingly. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.

14. Contact
